after spending a lot of time in airplanes and airports I finally made it again to cape town / south africa. in between brazil and south africa I spent 24 hours in germany, where I visited my parents for a quick hello…
now I will spend some weeks here for sufing and wave kitesurfing…

after nearly 4 month in brazil, I have to go home today. I rode nice spots and saw awesome places, but more than that, I’ll remember the people, the friends I met.

since 12 days I’m already now in barra grande, a small village in the north of jeri. not many tourists, at the moment me and floh & fricke are the only gringos. I met them here and they are in the end of their 8month world around trip, check out their website… flohundfricke.de
here in barra grande it’s so nice that I extend my brazil stay till the 26th of jan. flat warm water, wind for the 9m kites, cool caipis and super friendly locals. one thing is for sure, I wil come back.

on the last day in 2009 pat and me went out for a last surf session of the year. the waves were not that big, but really really fun. there was not much wind, so there were just one windsurfer instead of hundreds and lots of surfers. we had much fun til the sun was down. while surfing inken took a lot of pics which you can find on the gallery page.
I wish you all a happy new year with lots of wind, waves and fun in 2010.
