last tuesday we finally arrived in saint tropez / france. we hit the dock at 9 pm and went straight to a last crew dinner. food, wine and champaign were delicious.

finally we made it to st. maarten / caribbean. wa had a lot of motoring instead of sailing but in total it was the best trip in my life so far. I will get some pics online soon.

from there on I’ll start a new adventure. crossing the atlantic ocean on the sailing yard “lupa of london”.  the lupa of london is a baltic 78 custom with a total length  around 24m. if you interested in more infos check the website: www.lupaoflondon.com

a few weeks ago my mate dan sent me short message and asks if I’m keen to sail with him and 5 other sailors from gran canaria to the island of st. martin in the caribbean. what a question? ok my sailing experience is not that big, just a few minutes in an “Opti” on a small lake…if you know the “Opti” ypu may think I’m crazy. but no risk no fun.

but when I see the image of how the airplanes do the touchdown in St. Martin, I guess it’s much better to go there by boat. hopefully the take off is nicer, otherwise I have to stay there a few months….

on our way back to allentown,pa we stopped at the air & space museum nearby washington dc. you can find lots of big planes and also one of the US space shuttle is there… check my pics at the gallery.

in the pic you can see the capitol in washington dc. today we did a day trip thru the city. this city is really impressive because of all these huge buildings, monuments, memorials and wide streets.

new york for the second time, this time we went to the solomon r. guggenheim museum, walked a bit thru the central park, had a look at the 5th ave. with all the gucci, armani & co. stores, passed by the trump tower and the moma museum. finally we did a half walk over the brooklyn bridge and had a quick look at chinatown… you can find some more pics like everytime in the gallery section.

yesterday we did a trip to the niagara falls. we decided to go over the border to canada, because of the better view of the falls. our hotel was really nice, it was direct at the river front. check my pics at the gallery section…

today we did a trip to philadelphia which is an hour drive from allentown. it’s a really nice city, not so hectic and really beautyful. it’s located at the delaware river and  after new york it is the 2nd biggest town at the east coast.

the building above is the backside of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. the frontside is much more popular, because you might now it from all the Rocky Balboa movies. check out my gallery for more phillie pics…
